Consumption reduction

With a chip box from Maxchip, full throttle and low gasoline or diesel consumption are no longer contradictory. Our chip tuning products are designed so that they not only get the maximum performance increase out of your vehicle, but also allow a strong reduction in consumption thanks to Maxchip Eco-Tuning.

Up to 15% less fuel costs

with the same driving behavior

The exact fuel consumption by our chip tuning can not be estimated 100% in advance. Since this depends on various factors such as your driving behavior before and after tuning. Provided that nothing changes in the driving behavior, could achieve in our previous tests consumption reductions of up to 15%.

Example: If you drive around 31,000 kilometers with your Audi A6 3.0 TDI CR with 245 hp in the same driving style as before the eco-tuning, you will save around 479 euros during this time, assuming a fuel price of 1.55 euros per liter. Thus, our Maxchip Ultra would cost them NOTHING, since you save the cost of purchase by the lower fuel consumption again.

Consumption per 100km
Series 6.5 l/km
Maxchip 5,9 l/km

How it works

the reduction of consumption

The reason for the different fuel consumption of individual models and vehicles are in the engine displacement (the larger the displacement, the higher the fuel consumption) and the speed. The lower the speed at which you shift into the next gear, the more fuel-efficient your engine will be. Shifting to the next higher gear is thus already possible at values between 1,500 and 2,000 revolutions per minute.

This is where we at Maxchip come in:

Our Maxchip products have been developed so that this makes a slight change in the relevant speed range. Thus, after an eco-tuning, the possibility is already offered at an earlier speed to switch to the higher gear. To achieve the maximum fuel economy for your vehicle, our Maxchip software also optimizes the efficiency of the injection.

Depending on model and driving behavior, this can save up to 1.0 liters per 100 kilometers. The greatest possible driving pleasure and also save money? With Maxchip no problem.

More tips for reducing consumption

In addition to the chiptuning installation of our products, there are a variety of other tips and tricks that you can use to save fuel and further maximize fuel economy for your vehicle. Below are a few tips that you can also easily follow and implement when driving in everyday life:

Start engine as last step

Fasten seat belt, adjust driver's seat and mirrors. All this should be done BEFORE starting the engine, so as to avoid unnecessary idling and fuel consumption.

Keep an eye on weight

The child seat, roof rack or suitcase from the last summer vacation that is no longer needed should be sorted out of the car. After all, extra ballast also means extra fuel consumption. For every 100 kilograms of extra weight, fuel consumption increases by an average of 0.5 litres per 100 kilometres.

Check tire pressure regularly

You should (have) your tire pressure checked at regular intervals. After all, low rolling resistance is synonymous with lower fuel consumption. Caution: The tire pressure should not exceed the recommended values from the user manual.

Motor off for longer idle times

Sometimes it is unavoidable to stand a little longer at a traffic light or at a railroad crossing. From standing times of 15-20 seconds, it is recommended to switch off the engine, as this reduces fuel consumption compared to leaving the engine running.

Swimming along in traffic

Regular acceleration, abrupt speed increases and braking again lead to a significant increase in gasoline or diesel consumption. That's why it makes sense to "swim" with the traffic, especially in city traffic, as this saves fuel.

Avoid downshifting

Shifting down immediately when the speed is reduced slightly is not necessary. It is best to always make sure that the engine accepts the throttle and does not jerk. The less often you downshift, the greater the fuel savings.

Switch on electronic "gadgets" only when necessary

Be it the air conditioning or another electronic feature in the vehicle. Pay close attention to when you use them. The additional use of air conditioning and the like can increase fuel consumption by up to 0.5 litres per 100 kilometres.

Engine oil selection

The choice of engine oil can also have an impact on actual fuel consumption. If you want to actively save fuel, it is best to use fuel-efficient oils. But: Not every engine oil is suitable for every vehicle, so it's best to read the user manual to find out which would be most suitable.
